McGuffey Art Center’s 50th Anniversary

We were thrilled to have our Hold That Smile Photo Booth be part of the McGuffey Art Center’s 50th Anniversary Celebration — a day filled with art, laughter, and unforgettable memories!

Established in 1975, the McGuffey Art Center has become a beloved gathering place for artists and art enthusiasts in Charlottesville. Housed in the former McGuffey Elementary School, the building has been beautifully repurposed into forty working studios, three dynamic galleries, and a welcoming gift shop featuring the creations of local artists. Over the decades, McGuffey has grown into one of the region’s most vibrant cultural landmarks—celebrating art in all its forms and bringing people together through creativity and community.

It was such a pleasure meeting so many talented artists and experiencing their amazing work firsthand — especially the glass-making demonstrations, which truly captured the spirit of artistry and collaboration.
